Watching Myself Be Borderline - the book

Is there a borderline sufferer amongst the people you care about?

Here is a book that may help you understand how these difficulties develop and what the daily challenges of a sufferer can be.

I write about having the illness and watching the illness at the same time. I am very smart but I am very sick.

This gives me a unique ability to tell my story.

How I can help

Suffering is not a competitive sport.

Everyone knows what it is to suffer. But the pain of borderline personality disorder is excruciating and long-lasting. What is often not understood is that sufferers of borderline personality disorder can be very high-functioning.

Read the foreword to Jansen’s book: Said Shahtahmasebi, PhD of the Good Life Research Centre Trust discusses Jansen’s story, mental illness and suicidality.

The belief that people who are mentally ill are somehow defective is wrong.

I am not defective; I have an illness.

My brain was changed by childhood abuse. That change to my brain will never be fixed. But it does not keep me from being intelligent and competent.
